   Major changes to the Washington State Energy Code became effective today. The changes are designed to increase homeowner awareness of energy loss due to leaky ducting. When you have a new system installed (Furnace, AC or Heat pump) or a major repair  ( heat exchanger replacement).

      A DUCT test must be performed. A copy of the results will be provided to the homeowner and to the permit agency. This will add to the install cost.

Eastside will provide our customers with the cost of the test on all quotes.
