Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Changes to the Washington State Energy code mandate that Co detectors be installed in residential settings.

By January 1,2011 they must be installed in all new construction.

By July 1,2013 they must be installed in existing dwelling and sleeping units.

Homes occupied prior to July 1,2010 are exempt
Alarms must be located outside of each sleeping area, in the immediate vicinity of the bedroom.
